It's here! (Beta kwality) It will load and save PCX files, either the entire file, or just the palette. You can drag & drop palette entries anywhere you want, and it will remap the image. You can also sort the palette on several criteria. You can set ranges and spread colors between them, in RGB or HSV space. This all lets you get palettes EXACTLY the way you want them, without having to jump through PSP or Adobe hoops. I know, I've been there, that's WHY I wrote this program. Send me money, and I'll have it do jpg, gif, and Amiga IFF (the KING of animated palette formats, thanks to Dan Silva's Deluxe Paint).

What it is:
Allows you to directly edit the palette of a 256-color PCX file. You can load a picture, or just the palette. You can save a picture or just the palette (creates a 16x16 image with one pixel per color).
You can sort the palette by usage (number of pixels using each color), or by RGB or HSV.
You can use the left mouse button to drag and drop one color onto another, which will swap the two colors.
You can move a range of colors by changing the Move number to more than 1.You can change the color of any palette entry by right-clicking on it.
You can create a color spread from one color to another using RGB or HSV algorithm.
The red dots indicate the last selected colors, and indicate which colors would be used in a Spread and Reverse operation.
Undo will undo the last swap (does not yet undo sorts or spreads).
In general, leave the Index and Color boxes checked. They are meant for advanced operations, where you want to move the indices or the color values but not both, but it may be easier for now just to not mess with that.
This is really more of a beta release. I make no claims as to the stability of this program. When you save, be safe and save to a different file, not overwriting your existing files, just in case.
If you have problems running this program, please email me with the exact error message. You may need some VB 5.0 libraries (which you can get from www.microsoft.com) or I can add them to the posted zip file.
